Doors and Door Fittings

Every house needs doors to be complete. One room can be separated from another room to ensure privacy only using doors. Door Fittings are essential parts that complete a door. Each door fittings serve different purposes. Some basic Door Fittings include

• Handle: Aid in the opening and closing of a door.
• Knobs: Aids in locking as well as unlocking a door and opening & closing of doors.
• Locks: Used to close a door. Every door should have a good lock to ensure safety.
• Hinges and bolts: They hold the door in the right place.

Doors are of different types based on opening and closing. The latest trend in the field is Automatic Doors. They are doors that open themselves when a person is detected in front of it. It works of high UV sensors. Even high forces of winds are not able to open them. Automatic Doors are mainly used in shops and luxury hotels.

Some advantages of having Automatic Doors are

• They help even the disabled to enter into the building without anyone’s help.
• During these times of lockdown they help to maintain hygiene as no kind of manpower is exerted on it.
• They prevent air conditioning from escaping and doesn’t allow hot air from entering.

Some disadvantages are that they require high maintenance and the cost of repairing is also huge.

UPVC Doors

Doors are of different types depending on the material with which it is made. We know wooden doors, steel doors, and iron doors. But there is another kind of door known as UPVC Doors. The name is given from the material of construction that is Unplasticised Poly Vinyl Chloride. Hence the name UPVC Door. 

Some advantages of UPVC Doors in comparison with other doors are

• They are strong.
• Immune to weather, sound, and fire.
• It requires low maintenance than other doors.
• Easy to fix, adjust according to need, and remove if not needed.
• Very difficult to break and cannot be opened by an intruder with a crossbar.
• It does not corrode.
